This has been Oodles of Fun

Well, as much fun as this has been, I find myself growing immensely bored with this blog. My other blog, Little Isis, will now be discussion central for my political thoughts.
Now, if you even read this blog, which I doubt you do, you will just have to gird your loins and go to my other blog.

Mmmm... Sarah

You Snooze You Loze Regency

At Least it's Blissfully OVER

Well, Obama won, as I had a feeling he would. I feel fine about it, because the fix was in ever since he gave his speech at the 2004 National Convention. I have accepted that nothing was going to stop his victory; and he spent over half a billion dollars making sure of it. I am happy that History has been made and congratulate him for his Historic Win. For every African American who celebrates this moment in history, I salute you. I celebrate it too. For now, I hope and pray that President elect Barack Obama will be able to successfully carry out an agenda that lifts this country that I love so much out of it's current crisis.
Maybe a couple of years from now, I'll look back on this election and be able to say everything I have to say about it, but for now, I don't have the energy. Instead, I will cite two heroes: Regency and Dr. Violet Socks.
I have to believe that one day, a woman will be President. At this rate, it looks and feels like it won't be happening for another One Hundred and Fifty or so years, but I will do my best to remain optimistic that one day the Patriarchy will fall far enough that a woman will be able to shatter that glass ceiling, and hope to see it in the near future. Until then, that is what I work towards. I have decided to make women and Feminism the cause of my life. I will no longer vote along Party lines, because this election has taught me, not only that the Democratic Party is just as corrupt and despicable as the Republican Party (and that they are both used by Politicians as leverages of power within the system rather than as devotional tools for Governance), but that nothing will ever change in America if women's voices are powerless. I have learned so much from this election. I have learned that Establishment Feminism is part of the problem; that Robin Morgan and Gloria Steinem are both not infallible and are both capable of bigotry, and that a woman does not have to be liberal to be a Feminist. I know this because this year, I was witness to the fall and rise of two great Feminists: Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin; two completely different women that came from separate sides of the isle and separate walks of life, but both the same: and great nonetheless, able to achieve great things.
I will always have a special place in my heart for both of them, and will love them for EVER and EVER. Because they are my heroes. From now on, I vote for the 30% solution, and I could care less what Gloria and Morgan have to say about it (though I still adore them both). And I could care less what person tells me to vote for whom, because my vote is owned by me, myself, and I. Opinions are just that: opinions, and I can disagree with a person about something without believing that they are horrible people or dumb (Moddana and Margaret Cho, I am talking to you.)
For now, I will stop obsessing over Politics for a little while, and since the Election is over; return to normal life. But I will not forget about this election; ever. And I will not forget about the two women that were daily vilified and destroyed for their courage.

As you obviously know, the election is a week from now, so I feel little it's a moot point to post anything until November 5th. This is a new blog, so I think if it goes on a week long hiatus it won't change much.
I choose not to write here how I will vote, because, as I explained, this is a new blog. I want to avoid any preconceived notions any readers will think about Isis the Magick Kitten and my voting preferences.
This election has taught me more than I ever thought it would. They say everything happens for a reason, and whatever you think about what has happened in the Election of 2008, you can at least acknowledge that this election has changed things in America forever. Whether it will be for good or for ill, we won't know until later.
I'd like to invite anyone reading this right now to write something about this election and how it has changed you, how it has changed your views, ect. If you just want to write about any random thing or tell a story that relates to the election of 2008, please do so. I cherish your voices, your stories, and your opinions. It doesn't matter to me if you are a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent, a PUMA (power!), a Communist, a Socialist, a Fascist, a Champion of Hippie Communes, whatever. We're all Americans here. We might disagree on things, but at least we have that in common. Send it to me through an email or leave it as a comment, I don't care.
If I'm moved enough, I'll post it on here, but I will most likely limit my blabbering to my other outlet for genius until November 5th
Until then!

I Hope Hillbuzz Posts my Comment

I was just on Hillbuzz now, and I saw a comment by a person named Voting4Obama. She was arguing with a couple of Republicans on the thread, and it made me think of something I had just seen not two seconds ago in a post on the Confluence, which you can look at here.

Anyway, Hillbuzz hasn't posted what I commented to her yet, and I sure hope they do, because it was a gem.

Voting4Obama: Hey girl. Or Guy. By the way, do you know about this person? By the name of Sarah P? I don't know about her and I don't know her. I also don't know if what she says is true but... Aw, I'm sure you know each other! Here's what she has to say:

Ok, I want to clear my conscious a little. Hopefully you could make a blog post to help some fellow clinton supporters out. I work for a campaign and can’t wait for this week to be over. I was doing it for a job. I was not a fan of any candidate but over time grew to love HRC. The internal campaign idea is to twist, distort, humiliate and finally dispirit you. We pay people and organize people to go to all the online sites and “play the part of a clinton or mccain supporter who just switched our support for obama” We do this to stifle your motivation and to destroy your confidence. We did this the whole primary and it worked. Sprinkle in mass vote confusion and it becomes bewildering. Most people lose patience and just give up on their support of a candidate and decide to just block out tv, news, websites, etc. This surprisingly has had a huge suppressing movement and vote turnout issues. Next, we infiltrate all the blogs and all the youtube videos and overwhelm the voting, the comments, etc. All to continue this appearance of overwhelming world support. People makes posts to the effect that the world has “gone mad” Thats the intention. To make you feel stressed and crazy and feel like the world is ending. We have also had quite a hand in skewing many many polls, some we couldn’t control as much as we would have liked. But many we have spoiled over. Just enough to make real clear politics look scarey to a mccain supporter. Its worked, alough the goal was to appear 13-15 points ahead. see, the results have been working. People tend to support a winner, go with the flow, become “sheeple” The polls are roughly 3-5 points in favor of Barack. Thats due to our inflation of the polls and pulling in the sheeple. Our donors, are the same people who finance the MSM. Their interests are tied, Barack then tends to come across as teflon. Nothing sticks. And trust, there were meetings with Fox news. The goal was to blunt them as much as possible. Watch Bill Oreilly he has become much more diplomatic and “fair and balanced” and soft. Its because he wants to retain the #1 spot on cable news and to do that he has to have access to the Obama campaign and we worked hard at stringing him a long and keeping him soft for an interview swap. It worked and now he is anticipating more access. So he is playing it still soft. This is why nothing sticks. The operation is massive, the goal is to paint a picture that is that of a winner, regardless of the results. There is no true inauguration draft or true grant park construction going on. There will be a party, but we are boasting beyond the truth to make it seem like the election is wrapped up. Our goal is to continue to make you lose your moral. We worked hard at persuasion and paying off and timing and playing the right political numbers to get key republican endorsements to make it seem even more like it was over and the world was coming to an end for you all. There is a huge staff of people working around the clock, watching every site, blogs, etc. We flood these sites. We have had a goal to overwhelm. The truth is here. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. I am saying this because I know HRC was better for the country, and now realize this. I was too late by the time I connected to her. To me Barack was just a cool young dude that seemed like a star. I didn’t know him or his policies, but now I understand more than I care to and I realize his interests are more for him, and the DNC and all working like puppets with dean. I always thought a president wanted the better good for the country. The end result I see is everyone dependent on the government, this means more and more people voting for the DNC. This means the future is forever altered. I don’t see this as america, so I am now supporting John Mccain. Sarah Palin is a huge threat, and our campaign has feared her like you can’t imagine. If it seems unfair how she has been treated, well its because she has had a team working round the clock to make her look like a fool. this is a big conspiracy and I am so shocked that its not realized. We released a little blurb the other day that the Obama campaign was already working on reelection and now putting our efforts towards 2012. This was to make it seem like it was above us to continue caring about 2008. Trust me, its a lie. David is very smart, but its a sticky ugly not very truthful kind of intelligence. Its not over yet, but I think the machine is working. And its a hill to climb. I will be quitting my post on nov 5th and my vote will be for John Mccain. Fortunately, my position has been a marketing position and I don’t feel I had any part of anything I would feel guilty for. But I look forward to getting out of this as the negativity and environment upsets me. I wish you all well, and goodluck. PS my name is not really sarah. but I am a female and I understand your plight.

If this rings a bell to you at all V4O, and if it is true, be sure to clear off and smear the disgusting sludge and grime and putrid sick of your candidate's campaign somewhere else. How's this? I am as liberal as they come. I'm not conservative, like a lot of the lurkers on this blog. But I am a populist, FDR liberal. Barack Obama is no Democrat. And if you were as confident as you say, you wouldn't be wasting your time on us scary "repub lites", now would you? I know all about Hillary's positions. I know how liberal she is. I know about John McCain. I know about Barack Obama. I am not a fool. But thanks to people like you, I know EXACTLY who I'm voting for on Nov 4th. And news flash: It won't be Barack Obama. PPS: Don't be sad, V4B. According to Donna Brazile, you don't need my vote anyway. Catch ya later.

BOOYAH!!!

You Know I Love You Joe, but Please

Awwwww...
Poor Bawack. His VP had to answer actual questions. Here's a cookie!!!

Here's what Riverdaughter has to say about the ridiculous notion that this is somehow unfair.

I really don't know what it is with Obots. In a town in Virginia, they vandalized the homes of people with McCain signs, and I here's an example of what they did to one:

Oh! What do you know? A pentacle!

What a bunch of pigs. I will vote for Barack Obama when Hell freezes over.
